This month of November, 2010, we are celebrating the official launching of the Ethiopian Investment Agency (EIA) website, which is www.ethioinvest.org. To all intents and purposes, our website reflects the transformed spirit of the EIA, thus bringing a more impartial focus to the promotion of all economic sectors of Ethiopia as well as facilitating investments done in the country.

In effect, I see this website as a business platform where stakeholders actively interact. It is a muscular arm for us which can serve as a gate-through to screen the serious investors from those passersby. I perceive it also as a supporting hand to further advance our investment environment along with our service delivery. In short, the website is an indispensable promotional device as seen from an investment promotion agency point of view. More than that, the realization of such an initiative is special as it happened at the onset of the actualization of the GTP (the National Growth and Transformation Plan).

This website features some basic specifics attributable to the country’s socio-economic facts and legal frameworks related to investment. As it is very much interactive, it is obligatory to continuously upgrade and update the necessary pieces of information displayed on it.
